What is Excessive Sweating?

Excessive sweating is a condition anyone can suffer with and it can be embarrassing. It effects all genders at any ages. The main areas that tend to be affected are underarms, hands, feet and groin area.

 

Characteristics of the condition can be:

  • Having to change clothing multiple times a day

  • Having to take extra daily showers

  • Clammy hands and feet

  • Unable to wear certain colours due to perspiration marks. 

What is the treatment for it?

The treatment for this condition involves fine needle injections of neurotoxin into the areas of where the sweat glands lie. This blocks the nerves that control the sweat production and reduces the amount of sweat that is produced.

Does it hurt?

The treatment involves minimal pain, and a topical numbing agent can be applied to optimise comfortability.

How long does it last?

The treatment can last anywhere from 6 to 18 months dependant on individual characteristics. More often than not, most clients find that they only need to get the treatment one a year.
