Microneedling - Collagen Induction Therapy
What is Microneedling?
Microneedling involves penetrating the skin with hundreds of microscopic needles, whilst doing this it creates fake trauma on this skin. This fake trauma causes the bodies natural healing affects to be triggered, sending white blood cells to "heal" the "trauma" thats been created, in turn new collagen formations are created through fibroblasts and the skin results in a more youthful appearance improving skin texture and quality.
What benefits does Microneedling have?
Microneedling can benefit all skin types, it can help with the following concerns - Acne scarring, Fine Lines & Wrinkles, Aged Skin and Poor Skin Laxity.
Are there any side effects?
Side effects that can occur post treatment are very minimal, redness, bleeding, slight soreness is all normal post treatment. More rare side effects that could occur we are fully qualified to deal with.
Does it hurt?
The treatment shouldn't be painful, you may experience some mild discomfort in some areas of the face where the skin is more sensitive. A topical numbing agent can be applied pre treatment to improve comfortability throughout.
How often can I have it done?
We recommend a minimum of 3 sessions of this treatment to see good results, but also more courses are better as you are going to see the best results over a longer period of time. The treatment works with the bodies natural collagen production so is not an instant treatment. Sessions are 4 weeks apart and can be done monthly if required.
