Skin Tag Removal

What's Included?

The treatment involves using a electrical current to cauterise the tag/ lesion that you want removing. The treatment will involve a consultation prior and an assessment of the lesion, once identified to be suitable to remove this will be done so on the same day. In most cases skin tags can be removed in one treatment session, sometimes it may take more. In cases where we are unhappy with the identification of the lesion you will be referred to your GP to get a diagnosis prior to removal, we are not qualified to diagnose lesions so it is important that what you are having removed does not present any suspicious factors, if it does this is when we will refer you on. Although we cannot diagnose we are qualified in MASCED at our clinic, this is skin cancer identification and awareness course so we can assist in some help but seeing a GP for unknown lesions is vital. We also offer Thread Vein Removal at our clinic.

Is this treatment for me?

If you have a diagnosed skin tag, or obvious skin tag, a benign mole or other lesion, or thread veins then this treatment is for you. Having a diagnosis is important prior to having this treatment done.

Does it hurt?

The treatment can cause some discomfort, to avoid this we recommend clients purchase numbing cream from your local pharmacy prior to your appointments and applying this 30 mins - 1hour before attending your treatment with us. Doing so can improve the comfort of the treatment, it is a very quick treatment so any discomfort will not last for a long period.

How often can the treatment be done?

If you had the treatment done and it was a case you needed the same lesion removing in more than one appointment, we would rebook you for 4-6 weeks once the lesion area has completely healed and it would be safe for the treatment to be done again.
